Welcome to NIS PTO!
We are so excited for the wonderful year it is going to be! We have many fun things planned for our school and students, and we can’t wait to get started! We’d love for you to join us as a member of our PTO!
Who can join PTO?
You can sign up your entire household – even grandparents, aunts & uncles, co-workers, and neighbors! There is no required membership fee.
Become a member and “be in the know with PTO”!
Want to know about school events first? “Be in the know with PTO” by providing your e-mail address to join our mailing list. We periodically send out information about school events, PTO events, and volunteer opportunities. Joining does not mean you have to volunteer, but there are plenty of opportunities to do so if you have the time and interest!
To join, submit the form below. If you’d like to also be included in our Remind group, text @NISPT to 81010. We do not sell your information. Rest assured that the NIS PTO will keep your information secure and only use it to communicate NIS information!
Why else should you join PTO?
As a member of our PTO, you’ll not only know what’s going on at the school, but being part of the PTO is an easy way to:
- Have a voice in the decisions that are made
- Connect with like-minded parents
- Be a role model for our students and community
- Get to know the NIS teachers and staff better
- Learn first-hand how an intermediate school operates
Parent participation at school events fosters a stable learning environment. Most importantly, you will be helping to provide the following for the students, teachers, staff, and families of Northpointe Intermediate, which is what we are all about!
- Raise funds for school/student support *
- Teacher Appreciation lunches, snacks, and holidays
- Hang Out neighborhood events
- Student academic treats for grades and reading goals
- Student and Adult Spirit Store
- Student Parties - Holiday and End of Year
- Rock the Block Parade Float
* In 2023-2024, we spent over $3,000 buying our entire NIS staff their district shirts as well as supporting educational and recreational teacher requests with items such as a school banner for UIL competitions, digital microscopes, a crooks radiometer, a rolling TV stand and a 58” TV for school programs and presentations, disc golf stands and materials for the coaches, art supplies for our art team, and materials requested by our orchestra teachers. In 2022-2023, we replaced the entire PA and speaker system in the cafeteria and purchased Chromebooks for the Specialist teachers' classrooms. In 2021-2022, we built the Gaga Ball Pit out back for the students.
